Dr. Ballentine graduated from Duke University Medical School and was appointed to the faculty of the department of psychiatry at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Dr. Ballentine is a coauthor with Swami Rama of Yoga Psychotherapy and Science of Breath and has written or edited a number of other related works, such as The Theory and Practice of Meditation.
