The Odesa State University of Economics is one of the leading and oldest higher educational establishments of economics in Ukraine.
Its history goes back to 1921 when Odesa Institute of National Economy was founded, In 1931 a credit reform was carried out in Ukraine. In this connection Odesa Institute of National Economy was reorganized into Odesa Credit Economic Institute. In 1966 the higher school got its former name - that is, it was reorganized into Odesa Institute of National Economy.
