Reminder to add to the library genesis project:
- Ebook.farm has ebook for 10% of retail price. They sell them in exchange for USD amazon gift cards. You can buy USD amazon gift card codes from amazon.com even if you don't live in America.
- ebooks bought from amazon should be DRM stripped and uploaded. Download through the old kindle app (so that it downloads the book with the older easier to crack DRM), open in caliber, and convert to epub or mobi.
- archive.org has books in the "lending section". Borrow the book as PDF, download it with adobe digital editions, open it in caliber with the DeDRM plugin and then save to your hard drive. The saved file will have the DRM removed. Unsurprisingly, many of the mainstream books relating to Israel and Jews on archive.org are "lend only" which makes it a headache to read them. That's why it's good if you do borrow one to just DRM strip it and upload it to library genesis for easy access.
- physical books should be brought to a copy shop in your city and scanned to PDF and uploaded to library genesis. Where I live the cost isn't very much. I scan some rare older books and pamphlets because I think sharing the knowledge is important and if you don't do it there is a good chance the knowledge will be lost. There are books that I have spent years trying to find, so I know the headache of finding a rare book that hasn't been digitized.
