I cannot adequately express the loathing I have for this so-called textbook. I began reading the sections on electromagnetism for review purposes but after finding 20 errors in three chapters I gave up in disgust. And I am neither a professional scientist nor educator. There is no possible excuse that can be given for actually asking somebody to pay any amount of money for this publication. Either the author didn't bother to read the book (hmm, did he even write it?), which is unconscionable, or he did and either didn't see all the errors, or he did and didn't care enough to have them corrected. I can think of no other logical conclusion and, therefore, no possible reason why anyone should consider the purchase of this book to be any sort of benefit in their lives. In fact, Schaum's ought to issue a product recall on this edition as an admission of defective production to scrape some of the egg off of their faces.
I would have given this book a NO-star rating if possible. I repeat (and so have many others), DO NOT BOTHER with this book. Save your money for ANY other physics book on the market. When you are positioned at the bottom of the barrel, any other location on the marketing ladder is an improvement.
