Two-time Computer Press Association winner David D. Busch has been demystifying arcane computer and imaging technology for PC and Macintosh owners since the early 1980s. As a writer, photographer, and contributing editor for more than a dozen leading computer magazines, he has more than 65 books and 2,500 articles to his credit, including Digital Photography for Dummies Quick Reference (IDG Books Worldwide). The Scanner Handbook, 2nd Edition is his seventh book devoted to desktop scanners.
Susan Krzywicki’s background includes fine arts and computers. She worked for IBM, and ComputerLand as an Apple Business Development Manager, and studied art at Mills College (B.A. Studio Art) and the Rhode Island School of Design. She is currently working for Computer Associates and has taught classes in using scanners and color printers for crafts projects, including printing on fabrics.
Laurel Burden has been in graphic design longer than she likes to contemplate, working with the National Football League Properties for many years, and as an independent designer. Currently, Laurel is with TBWA/Chiat/Day Advertising in Computer Graphics. Laurel has a degree in fine arts from Mills College and has studied art and design at the University of California, Los Angeles and Art Center School of Design.
