This eBook contains a collection of documents that describe the 1967 published book "Report from Iron Mountain" by Leonard C. Lewin, the reaction of public media after 1967 and the ongoing misunderstanding and misuse by certain groups.
Basically, the book is a "hoax" - not so much a "satire" as the author and some bystanders publicly stated in 1972. The carefully planned and executed deceit of the public by the author and publisher had effects not foreseen and unwanted by both that can be described as "backfire effect". The whole story was occupied by conspiracy and right wing/alt-right activists and serves as a kind of blueprint for "New World Order" conspiracy theories.
This is hard to understand because the book content is obviously pure "fantasy" - not "science fiction" as Brave New Word or 1984, but completely wrong on the premise (like, e.g., an existing computational power to play "peace games" with any accuracy in the early Sixties and up to "today", including the foreseeable future).
