This book describes a world devastated by the usage of so called "wish-machine"s, which are a some kind of dream machines. The plot revolves around a protoganist who happens to be somewhat immune to these machines and the good peoples fight against the criminal network which keeps the world governments under control by using these machines. It's not a good book, nevertheless contains the most accurate description of dangers of this kind of inventions. Considering the end goal of virtual reality systems is to reach the level described in the book, it is useful for people putting time to read this book.
