For the five days August 1-5, 2005 about 240 mathematicians from almost 40 countries attended the conference on Differential Equations and Applications at the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), Melbourne, Florida. The main objective of the conference was to promote, encourage, cooperate, and bring together various disciplines of differential and difference equations. This volume contains selected 123 original papers which are based on the research lectures given at the conference.
