The first page of the Panini World Cup France 98 Official Sticker Album is an absolute shiny-fest! The France '98 logo, mascot and trophy all appear alongside the traditional 'Roll of Honour', in all their shiny glory. The mascot for this year's tournament is a blue and red cockerel, if you look closely you can see his studs. Page 2 is the tournament programme showing fixtures and leaving space for scores to be filled in, then on the facing page are stickers for 9 stadiums that are hosting the games.
The teams start with Group A and Brazil, the left side of the page shows the shiny logo, landscape and team photo, with 16 squad football stickers arranged in neat rows. Each sticker has a brief section of vital statistics below it, then there is space for a small section explaining how the team qualified. USA, Jamaica and Iran only get a single page each, so these feature two players per sticker, and they are arranged landscape.
As with other Panini albums, the England team are all picture in 'logo-free' plain white tops, with a bodged together shiny badge. This is because the FA license the England football rights to Topps/Merlin instead.
