Pannini, 1990. — 50 c.
Opening the first page, we're greeted with a lovely duck-egg blue background, and from here it's quick to see that the album alternates each pair of pages with this colour and a deep salmon pink… interesting! Anyway, back to the football stickers; the first page shows the Italia '90 Logo shiny, World Cup Trophy shiny, a nice shiny poster of a pitch in the centre of the coliseum and the rather disturbing World Cup 1990 mascot - a strange looking block stick-figure who reminded us strangely of the bad guys from 'Infamous', or even the Citroen C2 robot advert. Again we've gone off topic, sorry!
The next page is pink, with stickers of the evil robo-mascot down the left hand side, the match programme fits in alongside that and the facing page begins to show stickers for the stadiums. Another two pages of stadiums follow on the duck-egg blue background, before Italy (for the third edition in a row) kick-off the national team's pages.
Each team gets a double-spread, the usual shiny badge, team photo sticker and in this edition there are 17 squad football stickers. Cameroon, Costa Rica, UAE, South Korea and Egypt get the wooden spoon in this edition with only a single page with two players per sticker. And, because we're sure by now that you're desperate to know - England fall on a pink page!
