First I have to say that I read a lot of the reviews here and thought they must have been talking about a previous edition. There is simply no way that a published book could be so packed with errors after going through the editorial process. Sadly, every word people say is true. I have read some of the other books for "dummies" as they are usually good starting points when you're unfamiliar with the material being covered. This takes the approach as the other books in the series starting you off with the very basic concepts and terminology of programming. When I first started reading the book, it surprised me to find a couple of basic typos like "very" instead of "every" that throw the whole sentence and idea he is trying to convey off. As I continued to read, I found many, many more errors. They were finally to much for me around page 100. Avoid this book and send it back to the editors. Too many errors.
