This training teaches IS professionals and SQL developers how to implement database solutions using the latest version of the Microsoft SQL Server relational database management system. Students will gain an understanding of the product's architecture and, through the accompanying labs, attain hands-on experience with the procedures to plan, configure, and implement database solutions.

Upon course completion, students will be able to describe the elements of the Transact-SQL language, and configure the data storage architecture; create and manage files, databases transaction logs, and more; enforce data integrity; manage locking options and transactions to ensure data concurrency and recoverability; write queries that retrieve and modify data; design and create stored procedures and triggers and create views of data, including publishing it on the Web. This is the self-paced equivalent of the instructor-led training Course #833 and will prepare students for MCP exam 70-029, Implementing a Database Design on Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. CD includes lab exercises and 120-day trial software for SQL Server 7.0.
