Logic and contemporary rhetoric: the use of reason in everyday life

The purpose of this fourth edition of Logic and Contemporary Rhetoric remains the same as its predecessors: to help students improve their ability to reason about everyday political and social issues (and thus to help raise the level of political discussion in our society). This text differs from others by concentrating on everyday issues and problems and by drawing examples and exercises from a broad range of actual political rhetoric, advertisements, and other current sources, rather than traditional or made-up examples.
