From the preface to the 7th Edition: Since the "Tables of Higher Functions" underwent a thorough revision at the time of the sixth edition, I have not held great alterations in the present seventh edition to be necessary. In the main I have been content to remove the imperfections which have been made known to me since the publication of the sixth edition. Only the bibliography has once more been completely renewed and. in view of the great number of tables of higher functions which have appeared in the last five years, considerably enlarged. I
