The introduction and a first draft of the prose of "Ynglinga saga" have been written by Alison Finlay, who is also responsible for most of the footnotes and the translation of all the verses. Anthony Faulkes translated the rest of the prose. The translation is based on the edition of Bjarni Aðalbjarnarson in "Íslenzk fornrit" XXVI–XXVIII (Hkr I–III), the page numbers of which are included in the translated text in square brackets.
