My review will be brief and not as interestingly critiqued as many of the other 5 stars were. I bought the book because I was only interested in "PHOTOMATIX', and how to use it. This book goes much further than just photomatix which did annoy me some. So, the actual pages dedicated to Photomatix were not that many, which I disliked. But, I can highly recommend this book. Its much better than some others out there The book "Mastering HDR Photography" by Michael Freeman was a total disaster for me. I'm quite sorry I bought that book simply because it was much to much difficult to comprehend. But, yes, this book by Carr and Correll is excellent. It also shows the reader some of the actual setting that you can also use to get a sensational picture. AND, you also can leave those setting in place to use again for all your future photos if you desire to do that, which I have. I just wish that there'd be a decent book solely about Photomatix........
