This volume celebrates forty years of academic service in the life-long career of Griselda Pollock. research circles that Griselda Pollock developed there. Their perspectives re-collect the spirit of the feminist intervention in the greater spectrum of concerns regarding society and culture. Each individual position constitutes a personal standpoint in regard to a topic that goes beyond what is generally preconceived of as a feminist ''issue'', and altogether aggregate the inquiring independent spirit of what Griselda Pollock has been encouraging by example in her academic excogitative practice.
