This book is written for teachers of mathematics at secondary levels, for people training to be such teachers, and for those who profess a love of geometry. It can also be profit- ably used by pupils between 15 and 18 years of age under the direction of their teachers. In this book, an axiomatization will be found which bases geometry on the concepts of parallelism, perpendicularity and distance in a manner that rapidly, natur- ally and easily brings out the algebraic structure of the plane and space.
