This proposal focuses on free speech as a universal right and, simultaneously, a dangerous rhetoric, aiming at expanding the journalism students’ knowledge of exercising free expression in view of the cultural context; differentiating between free speech and danger speech (hate speech); developing the understanding of fair expression and cultural sensitivity.
