The manual covers the new syllabus of the semester scheme for first year in R.T.U. and other universities. It encompasses the practical applications of the subject, which is the real need of the hour. This manual includes the experiments to be done by all of the first year students of Rajasthan Technical University in second semester. Some of the experiments like determination of dissolved oxygen are also useful for the higher level leading to the determination of BOD. It contains the theory about every experiment in detail, as the Environmental Engineering Laboratory is compulsory for all first year students of R.T.U. and the theory paper is elective. It includes the necessity i.e., the significance of performing the experiment. The apparatus, equipment required has been clearly mentioned for every experiment, to establish the laboratory. Review questions at the end of each chapter are there to test the understanding of the reader. The method of preparing the reagents has been clearly elaborated to facilitate the conduct of the experiments. Simple methods have been selected as far as possible, as the curriculum is for first year students of all branches.
