ECCC Recommendations Volume 3 Part V gives recommendations for the undertaking of creep testing of multi-axial feature specimens and component test specimens within ECCC. The recommendations for component testing are based on the responses to a Questionnaire circulated to organizations involved in the creep testing of components and an existing Code of Practice specific to tubular components. The aim of the Questionnaire had been to establish a basis for the harmonization of testing procedures within Europe. The respondants to the Questionnaire indicated that their test practices for more complex component specimens aimed to comply, where practically possible, with the guidance given in. The editors of this volume therefore acknowledge the input from contained within these recommendations.
