This specification defines the necessary additions to the IEEE POSIX P1387.2 standard for Software Administration, to provide interoperability between POSIX 1387.2 implementations in a distributed environment. The POSIX standard does not address interoperability, so this specification defines how to achieve this using DCE RPC technology to provide the necessary mechanism by which the various distributed software administration roles can communicate and transfer data.
