He was also the founding editor of Verbatim, a quarterly newsletter on language.
This dictionary is nicely challenging because it often reviews connotations of meaning when comparing or contrasting with another word. It contains an explanation of the distinctions and differences between more than 5000 words in everyday use, as well a technical terms.
