Contemporary Drug Synthesis

Written by members of Pfizer Global Research and Development for chemists entering the pharmaceutical industry, this work profiles the synthesis of fourteen representative pharmaceutical products in order to demonstrate the multidisciplinary nature of the endeavor. For each drug, they provide a historical introduction and the biological, pharmacological, pharmakinetic, and drug metabolism background before detailing the drug's synthesis.
