The books in this new series are designed to promote students' problem solving and critical thinking skills through the use of MATLAB as a "virtual laboratory." A 3.5" disk containing supporting MATLAB data files is bound into the book. This book offers numerous MATLAB-based simulations and examples of communications systems, while providing a good balance of theory and hands-on computer experience. The coverage of theory is not meant to replace that provided in a traditional core text, but does establish a conceptual background to complement students' MATLAB activities.
