The WCRF global networkThe World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) global network comprises WCRF
International, which operates as the umbrella association for the global
network’s four charitable organisations: The American Institute for Cancer
Research (AICR); World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK); World Cancer
Research Fund Netherlands (WCRF NL); World Cancer Research Fund Hong Kong (WCRF HK)
This report provides an updated version of section 7.9 Colon and rectum from the Second Expert
Report: Food, Nutrition, Physical Activity and the Prevention of Cancer: a Global Perspective
This section has been updated based upon Panel discussions between November 2010 and January 2011 on the 2010 Continuous Update Project Colorectal Cancer Report, prepared by the
research team at Imperial College London, UK (see acknowledgements).
The Report included research papers published until December 2009 for all exposures except for fruits, vegetables, red and processed meat, vitamin D, alcohol and height papers published until May/June 2010 were included.
