I feel sorry for this author's students. My college calc textbook is easier to understand than this book. For a "helper" book, get Calculus for dummies, or The Complete Idiot's Guide, or How to Ace Calculus..... almost ANYTHING other than this useless doorstop of a book. Actually, I was just kidding... it doesn't even make a good doorstop. But I am not kidding that this muddled pool of confusion is not likely to help you.
