This book is really good. I plan on taking the GRE in the fall, so I wanted to do a complete review, and not just learn the "strategies" that will help me be a great test taker. I wanted to review my background in math and verbal and I'm working my way from Basic Math through Calculus & Trig with these books. I disagree with the 1star post. I think this book is GREAT for someone who needs a complete refresher, and it DOES in fact define what an "integer" is. I think it's great. I'm not paid to say this, I'm not the author, or the author's relative, or anything like that...I always wonder if some of the poor reviews come from competitive authors who want you to buy their book instead. But anyway, I'm 1/2 way through this book. I love how they give REAL LIFE EXAMPLES to make the problems more readily understandable. I can't wait to finish this book and go on to "pre algebra" then "Algebra." I actually came online to see if Cliffnotes makes comparable books that could help me brush up on principles for the verbal section of the GRE.
