This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Conference On Smart Homes and and Health Telematics, ICOST 2009, held in Tours, France, in July 2009.

The 27 revised full papers and 20 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions.
