Abstract : The present work is focused on the problem of energy security. The objective is to explore a set of business intelligence moves essential for the diffusion of solar power technology based on rational analytics. It requires effective coordination and integration among eight business intelligence moves: System, Security, Strategy, Structure, Staff, Skill, Style and Shared vision. The system intelligence is explored along five dimensions: innovation of smart materials for photonic cells, power electronic circuit intelligence (e.g. power amplifier), energy storage, energy efficient load and topology (e.g. microgrid). The security intelligence is explored along four dimensions: switchgear, relay, earthing system and load manager for MPPT. The strategic intelligence is associated with business model innovation, good governance and marketing efforts in terms of pricing, promotion and communication. This paper is presented at National Conference on Frontier Avenues of Chemistry and Environment (FACE2015)on 11-February'2015 at Chennai, Tamilnadu, India.
