"Historical praxeology looks at past everyday life. She is interested in historical people in their everyday actions and speech, which she locates in practices. The volume programmatically presents the historical-praxeological research approach as a new approach to the cultural history of past actions. Practices are recognizable patterns in past everyday life. They are characterized by routines and dynamics, contemporary logic and attributions of meaning, and the participation of things. They can still be read today as the context of human activity. The historical-praxeological approach sees itself as a continuation of everyday and microhistory as well as self-testimony research."
