About the author: Joe Cōcke has been collecting and studying fossil shark teeth from the time he was in high school. Recently retired after 33 years working at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. During that tie he worked in the departments of Vertebrate Paleontology, Education and Animal Habitats. He now does consulting work and conducts family field trips.
