The third edition of Atlas of Laryngoscopy has been updated and improved upon to present the latest information from experts in the field. Each of the 146 chapters is made up of applicable case studies and color, high-resolution photographs. As the skill of diagnosis remains critical for residents, fellows, practitioners, and academics, the third edition adds new diagnostic information. It also includes new clinical observations. Covering everything from normal vocal fold anatomy to vocal fold cancer to rare traumatic injuries, there is no other book like this in the field. It is a must-have for residents and professors alike. Editorial Reviews Reviewer: Inna Athar Husain, M.D.(Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine) Description: This atlas catalogs the various pathologies that can be seen on laryngoscopy. Each chapter pertains to a specific pathology and includes a photographic depiction as well as a short description of the patient represented and information regarding the pathology. Purpose: The purpose is to document and provide a visual reference to the various types of pathologies that can be seen on laryngoscopy. Audience: It is intended as a photographic reference of pathologies for anyone performing laryngoscopies. Features: This atlas contains photographic examples along with background information pertaining to various pathologies, including both benign and malignant lesions, infectious or traumatic appearances of the larynx, and complications from interventions. Each chapter is concise, with color photographic examples of the pathology described. The book ends with an easy-to-use index. Assessment: This is a great addition to the field of laryngology. It is a good reference and covers a significant amount of pathology. The color photographs along with the concise descriptions of the process/pathology make this both a useful and easy-to-use atlas.
