A new OD-tool for interior ballistics simulations developed at the Fraunhofer Ernst-Mach- Institute (EMI) is presented. The code called SimlB is formulated in lumped parameter form and is based on the physical model recorded in STANAG 4367, which is also used in the well-known code IBHVG
2. SimlB contains most of the functions known from IBHVG
2. Several new features have been implemented e. g. the capability to perform simulations based on the virial equation of state, the possibility of user-subroutines and a model to simulate high-low-pressure systems consisting of two chambers. In the frame of a cooperation an improved heat loss model has been contributed from the French-German Research Institute (ISL). The code is formulated in Fortran 95 and comfortable use is ensured via a Qt-based Graphical User Interface (GUI).
