Акулы и скаты Северо-западной Африки

Акулы и скаты – группа рыб, наиболее серьезно подвергнувшаяся антропогенному воздействию в последней половине прошлого века и в начале нового. Многие виды акул и скатов исчезли в местах их традиционного обитания. Все это вызывает тревогу и должно привлеч внимание к изучению и сохранению этих рыб. В то же время, наблю- дается дифицит литературы по акулам и скатам на русском языке, особенно это касается определителей видов. Дан- ная работа предназначена компенсировать сложившийся дифицит. Определитель включает ключи для определений, описания 71 видов акул и 37 видов скатов, обитающих в водах Северо-Западной Африки от Марокко до Гвинеи. Для каждого вида приводится рисунок, основные синонимы, принятые названия ФАО, местные названия, описание вида, включающее диагноз, краткие данные по биологии, экологии, коммерческому значению, методам лова, возможной опасности для человека, статусу охраняемого вида. Определитель предназначен для полевого использования специалистами ихтиологами, гидробиологами, экологами, специалистами по управлению рыбными ресурсами, при проведении исследований по фаунистике и био- географии, для изучения динамики ареалов, структуры фаун, для мониторинга и сохранения биоразнообразия их- тиофауны. Sharks and skates is the group of fish that undergone the most anthropogenic influence in the last half of the previous century and the beginning of the new one. Many sharks and skates species have disappeared in the places of their traditional habitat. Its alarming signal should attract attention to study and conservation of these fish (Camhi et al., 2009). The most complete information on systematic and biology of sharks and skates is given in the reports of FAO and UNESCO (Com- pagno, 1984; 1986; 1999; 2002; Eschmeyer, Fricke (eds.), 2009; Froese, Pauly (ed), 2009; Lloris, Rucabado, 1998; McEachran, Séret. 1990; Nelson, 2006; Schneider, 1990; 1992, Whitehead (ed.), 1984-1986). These works are inaccessible for common users. The experience of work in the waters of North-western Africa has shown the necessity of creation of regional guide-books for sharks and skates. This guide-book can help to solve this problem in some way. The guide-book includes the keys for determinations and the descriptions of 71 species of sharks and 37 species of skates inhabiting the water of North-western Africa from Morocco to Guinea. A drawing, main synonyms, English, French and Spanish common names adopted by FAO, local names, description with diagnoses, short biological and ecological data, commercial importance, methods of catch, possible danger for human being and status of protection are given for each spe- cies. The guide - book is addressed to a wide range of the users and is intended for the specialists - ichthyologists, hydro- biologists, ecologists, fishery management specialists and for fundamental investigations on fauna, faunology and biogeog- raphy, areal dynamics research, for monitoring and preservation of ichthyofauna diversity. The guide – book may be used as a textbook and a manual by the lecturers and the students and all people who are interested in such an interesting group of fish as sharks and skates.
