W pierwszej cz ci artyku u przedstawiono definicje, klasyfikacje i ogóln charakterystyk g ównych typów punktów w z owych krajowej sieci logistycznej, zw aszcza centrów logistycznych. Nast pnie omówiono rol centrów w uj ciu teoretycznym, przy za o eniu pe nej dost pno ci do liniowej infrastruktury transportowej (drogi, linie kolejowe, ródl dowe drogi wodne). Przy takich za o eniach, potencjalnymi miejscami lokalizacji centrów logistycznych s g ówne aglomeracje miejskie, punkty mog ce obs u y kilka województw, wraz z ich g ównymi aglomeracjami, wreszcie lokalizacje o du ej koncentracji przemys u i us ug logistycznych. Optymalne rozwi zania powinny tak e uwzgl dnia wymogi komodalno ci transportu. W ostatniej cz ci przedstawiono aktualn , realn sytuacj – istniej ce centra oraz alternatywne mo liwo ci dalszego rozwoju, uwzgl dniaj ce istniej ce centra magazynowe, a tak e inne elementy infrastruktury punktowej.The paper presents some theoretical and practical aspects of logistics centres considered as nodal points of logistics systems (networks). The first part of the paper gives definitions, classifications and general characteristics of the main types of nodal points of the national logistics network, especially – of logistics centres. Then a theoretical approach to the role of logistics centres as nodal points in transport corridors is discussed. It assumes full accessibility to linear transport infrastructure (roads, railways, inland water ways).
With these preconditions, the potential locations for logistics centres are: main urban areas, sites serving few voievodeships and their main urban areas and finally areas with high concentration of industry and logistics services. The optimal solutions should also take into considerations requirements for transport comodality. The last part presents the real situation – existing logistics centres and alternative solutions for further developments of nodal infrastructure, taking into consideration existing warehouse centres and other nodal infrastructure
