The publication presents the cemetery near the three-nave basilica (Church 3) at the early medieval stronghold in Mikulčice. This burial ground, which contains 562 graves, is the largest at the site. A great number of adults and children associated with the elite strata of the Great Moravian population (9th–10th century) were buried there. The elite character of this group of buried individuals is evidenced by the costly grave construction and rich grave goods. The burials were situated both in the cemetery and inside the sacral building. The book provides information about the excavation, the documentation method and the processing of the archaeological material. The key part of the publication is the catalogue with an exhaustive list of graves and finds, including their description, drawing and photo documentation.
