This article discusses the issue of Angolan literature disciplinarization, taking three axes into account: 1. Establishment of new legitimating narratives; 2. Functioning of the literary feld and the educational system; 3. Legitimation and canonicity of Angolan literature. 4. Disciplinary consecration is approached from a historical perspective whose assumption is based on the need tointerpret the political consequences of Angola’s decolonization process. 5.Foundations of the institutionalization of the new educational system and the late recognition of Angolan literature as a school and academic subject. 6.Connections with the political feld, as a set of literary works representative of a multicultural historical community
